Normal nuts naturally contain bitter-tasting enzyme inhibitors and phytic acid for protection. Picked before they reach their prime,they’re still dormant, making them hard to stomach. No wonder they’re a little bitter! We carefully soak our nuts to wash away this natural barrier and to help release the goodness within.
Once the soaking has activated the nuts, bringing them to the brink of germination we dry them right out, real slow, and low (temperature not height!) which preserves the nutrients and gives them an unbelievably crisp and crunchy texture.
Happy with our activated nut we generously glaze, sprinkle or drizzle them with only the most natural and nutritious seasoning to ensure they not only taste great but do good too.
